JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: Family Medicine NP/PA Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: McKinleyville, CA Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri; 8a – 5p Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Pediatric and Adults Average Daily Volume: 18 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 1 RNs, 2 MAs JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: Licensed in CA DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar setting of panel management preferred Other qualification: NPs must have a Furnishing License with Schedule II; PAs must have CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate Must provide proof of required immunizations (Flu, TB, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap) Duties & Responsibilities Provide high-quality primary care services in an outpatient setting Manage patient panels with a minimum volume of 18 patients per day Maintain accurate and timely medical records with chart closure within 72 hours Collaborate with support staff including RNs and MAs to ensure efficient clinic operations Adhere to all facility credentialing and immunization requirements prior to start date
