JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Family Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: McKinleyville, CA 95519 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p Reason for Coverage: Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Mix of peds/adults Average Daily Volume: 18 patients/day Case Mix: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 1, MAs: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 30-90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Preferred: Well woman care IUD insertion/removal Newborn (birth-30 days) Infant (30 days - 1 year) Toddler (1-2 years) Child (3-13 years) Adolescent (13-18 years) General outpatient JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Eligible) Licenses: Licensed in CA DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS Updated immunizations (such as Flu Vaccine, TB Status/X-Ray Results, etc) Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to a mix of pediatric and adult patients. Maintain an average daily patient volume of 18 patients. Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation with chart closure within 72 hours. Collaborate with support staff including RNs and MAs to deliver high-quality patient care. Adhere to all facility credentialing and immunization requirements prior to start date.
