JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: NP - Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Eureka, CA Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm (with 1-hour unpaid lunch) Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 12-14 patients/day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 3 RNs, 4 MAs, 3 APPs No of Exam Rooms: 8 Lab & X-ray onsite Oncology Clinic is attached to Chemo Treatment Center & hospital PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: CA DEA: Active Certifications: BLS Experience: Min 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty; clean file required for temp privileges Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology/oncology care to patients. Manage chemotherapy patients and collaborate with oncology treatment center. Document patient encounters and medical records using Epic EMR. Participate in clinic schedule including 8-hour shifts with one-hour unpaid lunch. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team including nursing, MAs, and PAs/NPs.
