JOB OVERVIEW • Profession: Physician • Specialty: Hematology & Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Marshfield, WI 54524 • Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing • Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p (1-hr lunch) - 2 to 3 weeks/month • Call Schedule: Weekly call: Fri 7:30a – Fri 7:30a - Rounding: Mon-Sun 1-2 hours, plus afternoon rounding 4p-5p • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: 1:4 • Call Response Time: 30 mins • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION • Average Daily Volume: 15 patients/day • Rounding: Both • Phone Consults: 5-10 • Case Mix: Hematology/Oncology, Acute Leukemia, Chemotherapy, Stem Cell Transplant, CAR-T FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Cerner • Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology • Support Staff: - 3 PA/NPs, RNs, MAs, Office Staff - Navigatos & Fusion RNs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS • Board: BC/BE • Licenses: WI or IMLC • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS • Fellowship: Required Duties & Responsibilities • Provide full-time Hematology/Oncology locum coverage (no med onc). • Perform bone marrow biopsies. • Manage inpatient hospital call on a 1:4 weekly rotation, including rounding and phone consults. • Supervise chemotherapy patients and handle add-on consults during clinic weekday call. • Document post Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post CAR-T cell Therapy patients.
