JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-135562 Profession: Physician Specialty: Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Woodstock, Virginia Coverage Period: Dec 31, 2026 – Jan 07, 2027 Shift Schedule: Days, 7a – 7p Hours Per Shift: 12 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 20 patients per day Case Mix: Acute care, general hospitalist medicine Rounding: Included FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 25 beds Trauma Level: N/A EMR System: EPIC Specialty Backup Available: No onsite specialty backup outside of ICU PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, expedited locum privileges may be available JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Licenses: Active Virginia license and DEA required DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Experience: Residency trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required Other Qualifications: Clean file required for privileging; must be able to work with FM residents at Warren Memorial if covering that site DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide day rounding coverage at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital (and potentially Warren Memorial Hospital). Manage admissions and patient care for hospitalist service. Perform patient rounds, evaluate and treat acute care patients. Collaborate with nursing and support staff for patient management. Participate in EMR training and Valley Health training modules.
