JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-70474 Profession: Physician Specialty: Neonatology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Pontiac, MI Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Mar 01, 2027 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 8a–4p (on-site); call coverage after hours; 1 week on/1 off Call Type: Beeper/Phone Call Reason for Coverage: Anticipated gap in coverage during permanent provider planned LOA Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 100% neonates Average Daily Volume: 14 Case Mix: Neonates, Level 3 NICU care FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level 3 NICU (Hospital: Level II Trauma) EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 3-4 months REQUIRED PROCEDURES NRP Intubation UVC LPPICC JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) Licenses: Active MI License or willingness to obtain DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: NRP Experience: Fellowship required Other Qualifications: Clean background (highly preferred) Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical management for neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU Perform required procedures including intubation, UVC insertion, lumbar puncture, PICC line placement Cover on-call responsibilities (beeper/phone) during off-shift hours, including emergency assessments Collaborate with nursing staff and consulting spécialists to optimize patient care Document patient progress and procedures using EpIC EMR system
