JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatric Anesthesiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Dayton, OH Service Setting: Hospital Based Operating Rooms Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Nov 01, 2026 – Apr 30, 2027 Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered COVERAGE DATES Nov 01, 2026 – Feb 28, 2027 Nov 01, 2026 – Apr 30, 2027 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Neonatal to Adult Average Daily Volume: 50-60 surgical cases per day Annual ER Volume: 70,000 Case Mix: General Surgical (Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult), Thoracic, Complex Orthopedic, Neurosurgical, Ventilation Management FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: I No. of ORs: 14 Physicians in Practice: 22Support Staff Available: CRNA, RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, APPs REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Surgical Cases (Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult) Thoracic Cases (Except Open Heart) Complex Orthopedic Cases Neurosurgical Cases Ventilation Management JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Pediatric Anesthesiology Licenses: Active Ohio License DEA: Active DEA certification required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Experience: Completion of Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required Other Qualifications: Clean background, no malpractice history Duties & Responsibilities Provide pediatric anesthesia services for general surgical, thoracic, complex orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases. Supervise CRNAs in a care team model when not practicing solo. Manage anesthesia for patients ranging from neonatal to adult. Perform insertion of arterial lines and manage acute volume/BP issues as needed. Comply with facility credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.
