JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatric Endocrinology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Spokane, WA Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Mar 31, 2027 Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p 1-2 weeks/month or 7-14 shifts On-Call Shift Schedule: Nights & Weekends during assigned week (24-hour beeper call) Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:4 Call Response Time: 20 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 100% Pediatric Average Daily Volume: 8-10 % of Practice: 90% OP, 10% IP Rounding: Minimal Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Pediatric endocrine disorders (diabetes, growth, thyroid, etc.) FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: II Lab & Xray onsite No. of Exam Rooms: 6 No. of Beds: 145; 18 ICU EMR System: Epic Physicians in Practice: 3 Support Staff: 1 PA, RNs, MAs, Office Staffs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Active WA license or IMLC DEA: DEA required References Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient and inpatient pediatric endocrinology coverage during assigned weekly block Conduct new patient evaluations (1‑hour appointments) and follow‑up visits (30 minutes) Manage pediatric diabetic patients with dedicated appointment times Provide 24‑hour beeper call coverage, including minimal weekend rounding as needed Collaborate with clinic staff and one PA/NP to ensure continuity of care
