JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Urgent Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Chesterfield, MO 63017 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Oct 19, 2026 - Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-8p; Sat-Sun, 9a-5p (moving to 12-hr shifts on weekends) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults & Pediatrics Average Daily Volume: 36-48 patients Case Mix: Urgent care, pediatrics, minor procedures FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Epic Equipment Available Onsite: X-ray, EKG Support Staff: MA: 1, Office Staff Others: 22 facilities in MO JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in FP/IM/Peds/ED (ABMS or American Osteopathic Board only) Licenses: Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Experience: Residency trained; BC/BE within 5 yrs of residency; minimum 50 patient encounters in last 12 months Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency (Epic preferred), comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints), reading EKGs and X-rays. Willing to work 12-hr shifts Able to see adults & peds Duties & Responsibilities Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages presenting with minor injuries and illnesses. Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, splinting, and casting. Interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays and EKGs. Work collaboratively with medical assistants, radiology technicians, and other support staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR system.
