The Director, Chief of Staff to the Head of Product Management serves as a trusted partner and operating lever for the Product organization. This role strengthens how the organization runs—driving leadership cadence, decision hygiene, execution follow-through, operational insights, and cross-functional alignment—so Product leaders can focus on the highest-leverage outcomes.
This role does not own product strategy or roadmap definition. Instead, it ensures the Product leadership team has a clear operating rhythm, reliable insight into progress and risks, and strong coordination across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Go-to-Market.
Responsibilities

- Own and run core Product leadership cadences including staff meetings, leadership forums, planning touchpoints, and business reviews.
- Ensure agendas, pre-reads, decisions, and follow-ups are structured, efficient, and driven by a passion for results.
- Maintain operating-system artifacts such as templates, trackers, decision logs, and readouts.
Execution Visibility & Follow-Through:
- Maintain a portfolio-level view of leadership priorities, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
- Proactively surface execution risks and recommend options to unblock or re-sequence work.
Metrics, Dashboards & Insights:
- Establish and maintain dashboards that provide access to delivery health, achievements, and key business indicators.
- Synthesize complex inputs into concise leadership insights and narratives.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Act as connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM teams.
- Orchestrate readiness for high-visibility moments including launches, reviews, and critical issues.
Executive Communications & Enablement:
- Prepare executive-ready materials, talking points, and leadership updates.
- Serve as a proxy in selected forums to gather inputs and drive alignment.
Org Health & Operational Support:
- Partner with Finance and HR on planning inputs such as headcount tracking and operating readiness.
- 8–12 years of experience in Chief of Staff, Product Operations, Business Operations, or Strategy & Operations roles.
- Demonstrated ability to run senior leadership cadences and drive execution rigor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence.
- High judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Ability to influence without authority in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong comfort with metrics, dashboards, and operational insights.
Preferred:
- Experience working closely with Product Management and Engineering organizations.
- Background in fast-moving product or platform environments.
- Leadership cadence is predictable, clear, and committed to making informed choices.
- Clear awareness of priorities, risks, and dependencies across the Product organization.
- Executive communications are crisp, consistent, and trusted by collaborators.
- The Head of Product Management is enabled to focus on vision, leadership, and external engagement.

In California, the pay range for this position is $207,000 - $299,700 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $188,900 - $273,500
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
