Guardz is hiring a Head of Product Operations to be the operating backbone of our Product Management and Engineering organizations and the in-house leader of our AI transformation of the software development lifecycle.
You will partner Chief Product and Engineering Officer, reporting to him, running the operating system of the Product org, leading AI-native ways of working across product management and engineering teams, and turning strategy into measurable execution across a matrix of Product Management, Engineering, Security, Design, Data, and customer-facing functions.
This is a chief-of-staff-grade operator with SDLC fluency, real conviction about AI's role in modern software development, and the executive presence to lead through influence at the senior table.
You will design and run the cadence that turns the company's biggest bets into shipped outcomes, and personally drive Guardz's adoption of AI tools, agentic workflows, and AI-native engineering practices. Independent, proactive, technically fluent, with strong written communication and the judgment to challenge assumptions, raise flags early, and unblock decisions without ego.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Own the operating system of the Product organization, including planning cycles, OKR setting and reviews, periodical leadership cadence, business reviews, and decision and escalation paths.
- →Lead Guardz's AI transformation program of the SDLC. Define and drive the AI adoption program across Product Management and Engineering, identify and scale AI-native practices across every stage of the SDLC (spec, design, code, review, test, release, ops), and convert successful pilots into org-wide standards.
- →Serve as the chief-of-staff function for the CPEO, acting as an extension of the CPEO in rooms they can't be in, preparing board materials and executive forums, and owning special projects (org design, post-mortems, customer escalation tiger teams, hiring sprints).
- →Lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning Product Management, Engineering, Security, Design, Data, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing. Clarify ownership, manage dependencies, surface risks, and drive on-time delivery of the top strategic bets.
- →Own the metrics layer across Product org end-to-end. Build and maintain the OKRs, KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting that anchor leadership meetings on data rather than slides, and push the org from output reporting to outcome reporting.
- →Own product and engineering budget and headcount planning, partnering with Finance and the CPEO to align resources with strategic priorities.
- →Manage and grow the Product Operations function, including roadmap operations, release communication, product feedback loops, and product to business alignment.
- →Identify operational bottlenecks, unclear ownership, and execution risks. Design practical fixes that improve speed and accountability without adding bureaucracy.
Requirements
~2 min read- 8+ years in product, engineering, or operations leadership at a high-growth SaaS or technology company, with experience scaling an organization through hyper-growth.
- SDLC fluency, not just literacy. Has shipped software, can read a PR review, understand a release pipeline, debate architecture tradeoffs, and engage credibly with engineers. Background as a former engineer, engineering manager, technical PM, or technical chief of staff is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience driving AI transformation inside a tech organization. Has personally led AI adoption programs across product or engineering teams with measurable productivity or quality outcomes. Hands-on with current AI development tools (for example Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf), LLM APIs, and agent platforms.
- Executive presence in a matrix environment. Can sit across from any C-level, synthesize, decide, and write the memo. Has demonstrably influenced senior peers without formal authority.
- Operator by temperament. Bias to ship, comfortable with ambiguity, low ego, runs toward problems. Has driven real programs to completion, not just facilitated them.
- Data-driven by default. Builds dashboards before asking for them, uses metrics to drive decisions rather than decorate them.
- Outstanding written communication. Synthesizes long discussions into one-page decision docs, brings memo-culture rigor to leadership.
- Independent, proactive, and highly accountable, able to operate in ambiguity and create structure from scratch.
- Fluent English and Hebrew.
- Cybersecurity, MSP-channel, or B2B SaaS background.
- Prior Chief of Staff role reporting to a CEO, COO, CPO, CTO, or CPEO.
- Experience standing up an OKR process or operating system reset from scratch in an existing organization.
- Track record of evangelizing and operationalizing AI-native practices across an engineering organization.
- Experience with global or distributed teams.
