The Quality Control Administrator I is an entry-level position supporting the Quality team in maintaining accurate inspection documentation and ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements. This role focuses on organizing and pre-populating inspection reports, managing quality records, and assisting with daily administrative tasks within the department. It serves as a strong starting point for individuals seeking a career in quality assurance or manufacturing administration.

Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, it may provide direction to project coordinators, QA/engineering staff, or shop personnel regarding documentation priorities.

  • Pre-populate inspection reports with part numbers, batch details, specifications, and inspection criteria.

  • Maintain and update inspection report templates to ensure consistency.

  • Ensure completed reports are properly organized and prepared for Quality Inspectors.

    • Assist with creating, filing, and managing quality records and certificates.

    • Support document control by ensuring quality documents are up to date and correctly versioned.

    • Assist in preparing documentation for internal reviews or customer audits.

    • Input production and inspection data into quality databases or spreadsheets.

    • Review information for accuracy and completeness.

    • Assist in compiling basic quality metrics and reporting summaries.

    • Work closely with inspectors, engineers, and cross-functional departments to ensure smooth documentation flow.

    • Participate in training to develop knowledge of quality systems and processes.

    • Support general administrative functions within the Quality Department.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

    • Willingness to learn quality systems, inspection processes, and industry standards.

    • Previous administrative experience preferred.

    • Familiarity with manufacturing or technical documentation desired.

    • Basic understanding of inspection principles (training provided).

    • Familiarity with quality systems is beneficial but not required for entry.

    • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

    • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities.

    • Positive, proactive approach to work.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
