Armed Security Guard- Longmont Courthouse

We are seeking reliable and highly professional Armed Courthouse Security Guards to support daily court operations. This role is ideal for individuals who maintain composure, demonstrate sound judgment, and understand the importance of security within a judicial environment.

  Maintain a secure and orderly courthouse environment

  Monitor entry points and control building access

• →

  Screen visitors and enforce security procedures

• →

  Provide a visible security presence to deter disruptions

• →

  Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or safety concerns

• →

  Coordinate with court staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders

• →

  Conduct interior and exterior patrols as required

• →

  Observe and report suspicious behavior or security risks

• →

  Assist court personnel and visitors when needed

• →

  Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports

• →

  Ensure compliance with all post orders and regulations

• Minimum of two years of armed security experience

• Active CJIS certification

• Valid armed security credentials as required by the state

• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English

• Ability to pass all required background screenings and drug testing

• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

• Sound decision-making and conflict management abilities

• Comfort working in a structured, high-security setting

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior military, corrections, bailiff, or law enforcement experience is highly valued

• Experience in courthouse or government facility security is a plus
