• Maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary environment by cleaning patient rooms, operating rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary spaces daily.

• Performs environmental services duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, trash disposal, and linen collection.

• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, hazardous material handling, and proper operation of cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Responds promptly to overhead pages, emergency situations, and hazardous conditions while ensuring environmental services carts and closets remain secure.

• Stocks and maintains cleaning carts with necessary paper products and cleaning solutions while traveling to assigned areas and supporting departmental operations as needed.

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Required

• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition Required

• Able to communicate in English Required

• Basic computer skills and use of mouse and keyboard Required

• Must be able to operate a computer using standard office software Required

• Excellent customer service skills Required

• Ability to interact with patients Required

• Must be able to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, product labels, various reports, and perform basic arithmetic Required

• Must be able to follow oral and written assignments and have full knowledge of basic environmental duties Required

• Environmental services experience within a healthcare environment Preferred

• Knowledge of additional languages Preferred

• High School Grad or Equiv Preferred

• Housekeeping or custodial experience Preferred
