Environmental Services Technician PRN Days

Schedule:

• Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Demonstrates complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work performed. Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up.
• Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, offices in assigned areas.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow both written and verbal instructions [Required]
• Strong communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English [Required]
• Basic computer skills required, including the ability to operate standard office software
• Demonstrates positive communication skills and the ability to interact with the public and staff at all levels
• Knowledge of environmental services equipment, cleaning practices, and chemicals [Preferred]
• Ability to use specific systems relevant to departmental operations [Required]
• Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets, product labels, various reports, and perform simple arithmetic [Required]
• Full knowledge of basic environmental duties [Required]
• Understanding of medical terminology, ICD-9/10, and CPT-4 coding [Required]

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Preferred]

• N/A

• 1+ in a medical office [Preferred]

• N/A

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Preferred]
