~1 min read- →Provide comprehensive inpatient and perioperative care in collaboration with Gastroenterology and Orthopedic Surgery physicians.
- →Perform daily hospital rounds and evaluate patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
- →Conduct orthopedic consultations and comprehensive preoperative assessments for surgical candidates.
- →Obtain and document patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations.
- →Review laboratory results, diagnostic studies, imaging, and other pertinent clinical information to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- →Assist in the medical optimization and preparation of patients prior to orthopedic surgery.
- →Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care, facilitate treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
- →Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical expectations, recovery plans, and disease management.
- →Participate in discharge planning, follow-up care, and transitions of care as appropriate.
- →Communicate effectively with consulting providers, hospital staff, and ancillary services to support high-quality patient outcomes.
- →Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record.
- →Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical protocols and best practices.
- →Participate in call coverage and other clinical responsibilities as assigned by the practice.
Requirements
~1 min read- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Florida APRN or PA-C license or eligibility to obtain.
- National certification required.
- Previous inpatient experience preferred.
- Gastroenterology or hospital-based APP experience preferred.
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
