Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Clerk

• Location: Outpatient Pharmacy, Celebration (400 Celebration Pl, Celebration, FL 34747)
• Schedule: Mon through Fri 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, and weekend availability required (weekend shift is 10:45 am to 6:15pm)
• Delivers medications to patients with urgency and accuracy. 
• Processes customer transactions quickly and accurately, understanding all procedures concerning cash register and computer systems.
• Handles sales transactions, including credit cards, checks, payroll deductions, discount sales, split pays, exchanges, and refunds.
• Runs daily and monthly reports and verifies employee charges at scheduled periods.
• Verifies that prescriptions contain all necessary information before giving them to the data entry technician for processing.
• Records refill requests, ensuring all needed information is obtained.
• Promotes merchandise through suggestive selling and keeps the front end clean and organized, including unpacking, pricing, and stocking shelves.
• Obtains required patient demographic and prescription insurance information for processing and asks appropriate questions regarding pharmacy counseling. =
• Follows a systematic approach for assisting with the flow of prescriptions through the pharmacy and obtains HIPAA waivers if not on file.
• Communicates with patients about the status of their prescriptions and answers phone calls to determine the nature of requests.
• Greets incoming customers immediately upon entering the store and addresses them by name when possible. 
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

• Previous experience as a cashier or pharmacy clerk [Required]

• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese (Preferred)

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
