• Provides patient care and treatments according to policy and procedure, ensuring care is appropriate to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs.
• Assists the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse, including obtaining nursing histories, identifying patient needs, and reporting abnormalities.
• Maintains patient and staff safety by following isolation protocols, using protective equipment appropriately, practicing hand hygiene, and responding effectively in clinical emergencies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives through accurate documentation, adherence to department standards, continuous learning, and participation in performance improvement activities.
