Service Engineer
Quick Summary
Analyze issues by phone/messages, ask the right questions, interpret symptoms/alarms, and guide customers through safe checks.
We are looking for a Service Engineer (mechatronics/electro-mechanical engineer) who can diagnose customer equipment issues remotely and drive cases to resolution. You won’t be expected to solve every issue alone when needed, you will involve the right internal specialists and coordinate the work until the problem is fully closed.
This is NOT an IT Support / Software Support / Developer role.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote diagnostics: Analyze issues by phone/messages, ask the right questions, interpret symptoms/alarms, and guide customers through safe checks.
- Initial technical assessment & routing: Identify the most likely root-cause area (electrical/electronics/mechanical/pneumatics/hydraulics) and route the case to the right specialist/team.
- Case ownership (mini project management): Define next steps, assign tasks to internal specialists, follow up on deadlines, and ensure resolution and verification.
- Team-based problem solving: Provide a clear technical handover (symptoms, conditions, tests performed, suspected cause) and coordinate with engineers until the fix is implemented.
- Customer communication: Translate technical progress into clear updates and actionable instructions.
- Tracking & documentation: Keep case status accurate and document investigations, decisions, and final outcomes in the tracking system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering (or strong equivalent hands-on experience).
- Strong fundamentals in electricity & electronics (e.g., wiring diagrams, sensors/actuators, basic measurements/troubleshooting logic).
- Solid understanding of mechanics.
- Hands-on service/maintenance experience (installation, troubleshooting, repair work real equipment, real conditions).
- Strong organization and communication skills (manage multiple cases and stakeholders).
