→Effectively supervise groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met
→Guide the escalation process. Review processes to ensure adherence to policy and adjust accordingly.
→Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources. Provide leadership in ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs/projects.
→Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions
→Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
→Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve transportation service efficiency, speed, or quality.
→Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics
→Manage relationships with our TMS/MTS providers
→Weekly calls – set up monthly meetings with key leaders- project updates, industry updates, improvements, etc.
→Quarterly reviews
→Manage relationships with all LTL, TL, parcel, and international providers
→Review KPIs and customer requirements.
→Ensure quarterly and month-end reporting is executed and validated
→Visit Local Plants monthly and engage with shipping teams
→Conduct RFPs: LTL, Parcel, TL (Dry-van and Flatbed), Air, International Ocean

Interpersonal skills – Communicates and works well with all levels of the organization; develops relationships with stakeholders to ensure their involvement and commitment

4-year degree in a Logistics-related field and 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and team communication skills
7+ years of logistics experience with TMS/MTS systems
Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications
Thinks critically and can problem-solve
Computer and software knowledge required
Ability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and communicate effectively
