Reporting to the Ministry of the Attorney General, the AGCO is responsible for regulating Ontario’s vibrant alcohol, gaming, horse racing, and private retail cannabis sectors in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.
The I+IT division of the AGCO has an exciting opportunity within the Business Optimization and Insights (BOI) team for a Business Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Product Planning, you will conduct business analysis, process optimization, develop requirement definitions, and facilitate discussion of solution options for AGCO’s Digital Products supported by BOI. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product and project leaders, vendors, subject matter experts, and I+IT teams to assess business challenges, recommend improvements, and ensure proposed solutions align with organizational objectives, user needs, and operational requirements.
What You Will Do:

These solutions include AGCO’s core regulatory system, Contact Center solution (Salesforce integrated with Amazon Web Services), ERP for Financial and Procurement functions (Oracle Fusion), and in-house solutions built on platforms like SharePoint, Power Automate, and .NET.
Elicit business requirements through various methods, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task/workflow analysis.
Analyze and evaluate information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, and translate high-level data into detailed insights to identify alternative solutions.
Model and document current and future state business processes with sufficient detail to guide analysis and support implementation, using standard modeling notation.
Deliver clear and organized presentations, including sensitive or complex information, with tact and professionalism.
Lead or support release planning activities across various product roadmaps.
Identify and propose solutions for discrepancies between business requirements/processes and software capabilities.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish technical vision, balancing trade-offs between usability, business needs, and actual requirements.
Support the review, prioritization, and sizing of change requests for AGCO’s digital products and assist in product configuration.
You Have:

Expert knowledge of standard BABOK methodologies and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Exceptional analytical skills with experience in reengineering business processes.
Proven experience in coordinating multiple product releases using tools such as MS Project, Jira, and DevOps.

Experience with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and associated tools.
Expert-level proficiency in Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Eligibility to work in Canada and the ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
Nice to Have:
