• Job Title: Commercial & Residential Glass Estimator

• Location: Full-Time Remote (LATAM)

• Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT

• Compensation: 1,500 - 2,500 USD per month talent compensation

Our client is a growth-minded glass contracting business headquartered in Minnesota. Currently operated by a direct, hands-on owner managing a lean structure alongside an office administrator, the company handles projects across both commercial and residential glass sectors.

Seeking to scale operations and expand business capacity, our client is bringing on its first remote estimator; the goal is to build out a dedicated operational workflow that frees up the owner to focus on project management, field execution, and business scaling.

With a growing volume of project opportunities, our client is expanding its operational capacity. We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Residential Glass Estimator to serve as a key operational support pillar, taking ownership of project bidding, sourcing leads, and driving business growth.

As an Estimator, you will work directly alongside the Owner/Project Manager in a small, agile team setting. You will produce precise, consistent estimates and streamline pipeline workflows from initial lead sourcing to final cost generation.

You will act as a force multiplier by relieving operational bottlenecks, managing high-volume estimate production, and maintaining strong cost-accuracy across commercial and residential glass categories.

This position is ideal for an adaptable, proactive estimator who thrives in U.S.-based construction environments, is comfortable wearing multiple operational hats, and knows how to operate independently in a remote setting.

  Estimate Production: Generate precise commercial and residential glass estimates monthly using Procore and Excel (using advanced formulas where needed).

  Glazing Category Coverage: Produce detailed estimates across diverse glass categories—including storefronts, doors, windows, curtain walls, glass handrails, glass walls, shower doors, mirrors, and residential glass replacements (excluding auto glass).

  U.S. Market Pricing: Factor in U.S. market pricing, material costs, and labor rate structures to ensure competitive and accurate project pricing.

  Pipeline & Lead Management: Actively source, review, track, and evaluate project bids via Plan Hub, Building Connected, and Procore platforms.

  Workflow Support: Maintain a consistent job pipeline and estimate production workflow to support long-term company growth and operational stability.

  Direct Stakeholder Coordination: Work directly in the client's systems under a full-time, exclusive engagement, communicating primarily via Email and iMessage for quick site/estimate updates.

  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with site teams, vendors, manufacturers, and external project stakeholders across the full estimation process.

  Owner Support: Wear multiple operational hats as needed to support a lean team, freeing up owner capacity for field supervision and client management.

• Experience: 3+ years of estimating experience in construction trades or building systems, with direct knowledge of the glazing/glass industry.

• Glazing Knowledge: Specialized understanding of glass, storefronts, curtain walls, glass handrails, glass walls, shower doors, and mirrors (excluding auto glass).

• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas), Procore (or quick ability to learn), Plan Hub, and Building Connected.

• Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills; comfortable reaching out to vendors, clients, and team members across the entire estimating workflow.

• Cost Structure Knowledge: Solid understanding of U.S. market pricing, material costs, and labor rate structures.

• Work Ethic & Autonomy: Proactive, organized, and capable of producing multiple accurate estimates per day without close supervision.

• Specific Manufacturer Knowledge: Familiarity with key U.S. glazing systems and leading manufacturers, such as Oldcastle, Tubelight, and Kawneer (Conair). Plus!

• Portfolio / Work Samples: Ability to present a portfolio or demonstrate previous estimation work and high-volume project bid sheets.

• Education & Background: Civil engineering background, technical trade degree, or equivalent practical industry experience.
