Technical Service Manager

We are currently seeking a Technical Service Manager Specialty Applications & Lab Operations to join our team in Geesthacht. In this key role you will manage a team of technical experts and collaborate with a global network of colleagues. You will drive the vision for our next-generation product portfolio, bringing innovative solutions to life for our customers.

What you'll do:

• Provide high-level product recommendations and technical support to our customers, leveraging Sensient’s extensive color portfolio to meet customer needs
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive business growth through technical expertise at customer presentations, product launches, prototyping, and application trials.
• Design and conduct technical seminars and trainings, presenting cutting-edge color concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Take part in shaping our business strategy based on market insights and customer needs, with focus on savory, processed foods and plant-based alternatives
• Contribute your expertise to national and international project teams to foster innovation and cross-functional excellence
• Oversee application lab operations, manage lab space organization and ensure compliance with safety requirements, with the aim to protect and support our most valuable asset: our team

 What you'll bring:

• A university degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field
• Solid professional experience in R&D, paired with a deep understanding of the development, production, and application of food ingredients
• Excellent communication skills in English, additional proficiency in German is a distinct advantage
• A solution-oriented, creative and strategic thinking mindset, with the ability to build, engage and inspire a high-performing and service-oriented team
• Flexibility and a passion for travel, as you will regularly visit trade fairs, industry exhibitions and support our customers on-site 
• Strong MS Office skills; previous experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system is a plus
