Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Prescot, Liverpool. This is a newly created, high-impact role designed for a strategic leader ready to shape the future of our rapid global growth and secure AHK’s position as a leading partner in the global marketplace.
As we continue to grow internationally, we are seeking a commercial marketing leader to lead our External Marketing Team, who will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications. This isn't just about managing a function; it’s about taking the function to the next level, building an outward-facing engine that connects AHK’s deep technical expertise with global markets to drive new business and inspire our customers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Strategic Growth: Ability to translate high-level business objectives into clear, scoped marketing requirements for execution, and deliver results.
- Commercial Execution: Proven experience driving campaign delivery across digital, events, and partnerships to meet commercial goals.
- Sales Enablement: Expertise in ensuring alignment with business development teams and delivering the leads (MQLs) necessary to drive pipeline growth.
- Operational Governance: Experience establishing operational rigour, including budget management and process compliance.
Required Competencies
- Leadership: Strong mentoring skills with a passion for developing team members and supporting their professional growth.
- Data & Digital Proficiency: High level of precision in data analysis, reporting, and digital marketing expertise.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across internal departments.
- Resource Allocation: Strong time management skills and the ability to allocate resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- CRM and Marketing Automation: Expertise in leveraging CRM (Zoho) systems for lead generation management, sales performance reporting, and implementing workflow automation to drive efficiency across the customer journey.
Required Work Experience
- Substantial B2B marketing experience, preferably within a TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) company or related sectors like Metals & Minerals, Mining, Engineering or Life Sciences.
- Experience working for a complex, matrixed organisation
- Proven experience in effectively managing and leading a team of marketing professionals.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering measurable demand generation and new market entry success.
- Experience managing the complete customer journey with a focus on strategic lifecycle marketing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in Marketing or Digital Marketing.
- A project management qualification is desirable.
REQUIRED LANGUAGES
- Additional language skills, particularly Spanish, would be advantageous.
Some domestic and international travel may be required.
