Role Summary:

The Apprentice AME is a mechanic who is in the process of obtaining the training, knowledge, experience and skill required to obtain an AME M2 rated license. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft using approved tools, materials and manuals under the direct supervision of an ACA
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft system defects
• Verify parts installed onto the aircraft are properly certified, prior to installation
• Create and complete task cards and non-routine cards (NRC)
• Receive “on the job training” from ACA(s) in order to gather the experience and skill required to obtain an AME License

Must haves:

• Record accomplishment of tasks in personnel log book
• Required to maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
• Required to maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Required to maintain a valid Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit for ENWIA
• Required to maintain a valid Restricted Operator’s Certificate - Aeronautical
• A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
• Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
• Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

• Valid Basic Training from a Transport Canada Accredited Program
