At AJW Group, we are looking for a JIRA Administrator to support and optimise our Atlassian environment across the business. This role will play a key part in improving workflows, automation, reporting, and collaboration across operational and project teams globally.

You will work closely with stakeholders across IT, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business Functions to ensure JIRA and related tools are configured effectively and continue to evolve with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, dashboards, and automations.

  • Support users across the business with system queries, troubleshooting, and best practice guidance.

  • Configure and improve workflows to streamline operational and project delivery processes.

  • Create and maintain custom fields, screens, issue types, and reporting structures.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide operational insight and performance tracking.

  • Support integrations between JIRA and other business systems where required.

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.

  • Ensure governance, data quality, and consistency across the platform.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and system optimisation projects.

  • Assist with user onboarding, training, and documentation.

  1. Previous experience administering JIRA in a commercial environment.

  2. Strong understanding of JIRA workflows, permissions, schemes, and automation rules.

  3. Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA Service Management is advantageous.

  4. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

  5. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  6. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  7. Experience working within aviation, engineering, logistics, MRO, or operational environments would be beneficial.

  8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving business.
