Funeral Director / Embalmer
We are seeking a compassionate and service-driven Funeral Director / Embalmer to join a highly respected, multi-location funeral service organization. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional care to families while working within a structured, team-oriented environment.
You will play a key role in supporting families, coordinating services, and maintaining the highest standards of preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Meet with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services with professionalism and empathy
- →Direct and oversee funeral, memorial, and graveside services
- →Perform embalming, preparation, and care of the deceased (as licensed)
- →Coordinate logistics including transportation, scheduling, and service execution
- →Collaborate with internal teams across multiple locations to ensure seamless operations
- →Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- →Uphold a high standard of appearance, service quality, and attention to detail
Requirements
~1 min read- Active Funeral Director license (required)
- Embalmer license preferred (dual-licensed candidates strongly encouraged)
- Prior experience in funeral service (preferred, but strong newer candidates considered)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Commitment to delivering a premier level of service
- Full-time, on-site role
- Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Unique rotating schedule:
- Off every other weekend (including one long weekend: Fri–Sun)
- Additional weekday off
- No more than 4 consecutive workdays
- On-call responsibilities limited to support (no routine overnight removals)
