Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.

Alan exists to end the wait.

Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.

So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.

We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.

Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 800+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

As Alan Senior Life and income protection (Prévoyance) Insurance, you will be responsible for the 360° view of the technical performance of the Life and income protection (French Prevoyance) business, including profitability, pricing, support to underwriting, new products launch and reinsurance.

  • Build and improve the Alan Life and income protection reserving, monitoring and profitability steering methodology, computation and tooling (accounting, best estimate).

  • Explain profitability, identify its key drivers, market trends, and assess the implications for renewals, including pricing and guarantee adjustments.

  • Develop the tools and analytics needed to forecast the portfolio performance and margin at scale, connecting to Finance & Risk.

  • Connect the dots with Prevention initiatives, including the relationship between Prévoyance coverage and absenteeism prevention.

  • Define and improve methodologies for both theoretical and experience pricing.

  • Adapt analyses to the specific characteristics of each business segment, including small amounts, high-severity claims, and newly launched segments.

  • Contribute to the portfolio renewal strategies, in close collaboration with internal teams (Strategy, Product, Sales, etc.) and external stakeholders (insurer, reinsurers).

  • Support underwriting teams throughout the year with technical analysis, guidelines, ad hoc methodologies, as well as automation initiatives.

  • Provide technical input to the launch of new products or geographies.

  • Contribute to the reinsurance plans definition and optimisation year on year, including partnership management.

  • Create processes and resources to strengthen the team’s ability to price and steer the Prevoyance portfolio.

  • Support the identification and hiring of new talents for the Insurance team.

  • Build internal knowledge of Prévoyance both for newcomers onboarding and stakeholders upskilling.

You would be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience in insurance, portfolio monitoring and pricing

  • Are comfortable about both going deep on technical aspects, and keep a high level vision on the strategy and execution priorities and pace

  • Have a scientific background (statistics, actuarial sciences) and are capable of understanding technical, data, regulatory, and business questions related to death & disability insurance/reinsurance

  • Are comfortable with coding (SQL, and ideally R / Python), but also leverage AI in both your daily work and on data assets.

  • Are analytical and structured, with a fact-based decision-making style

  • Are enthusiastic about teamwork, curious, learning, teaching, and stakeholder management

  • Are willing to deeply change the insurance industry and challenge the status quo

  • Have strong written communication skills, including with a broad range of stakeholders like underwriting, finance, strategy, risk, product, and local teams

  • Are fluent in English (Alan’s working language)

For this role we are looking to hire within the D-F level range.

If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.
