The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for minimizing project costs and maximizing value while ensuring that the required quality and standards are met. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of project costing, contract management, and site coordination. Working closely with Project Leaders, the Quantity Surveyor will support the end-to-end financial management of projects from inception to completion, contributing to the efficiency and success of the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management and Financial Reporting

Conduct ongoing cost analysis to ensure project financial goals are met.
Manage interim payment assessments and oversee the cost management process.
Compile monthly Work in Progress (WIP) updates and track financial performance.
Site Operations and Material Control
-
Perform accurate on-site measurements and maintain detailed records.
Monitor and document materials issued and returned on a per-project basis.
Collaborate with Project Leaders to verify subcontractor rates and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
Claims and Documentation Management

Prepare claims documentation in accordance with specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities.
Manage design variation claims and coordinate with stakeholders to address additional costs.
Audit subcontractor payments and prepare necessary certifications for invoices.
Health, Safety, and Compliance

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations in all project phases.
Maintain high standards of quality control and follow all company protocols and field procedures.
Stakeholder and Customer Relations

Assist in resolving disputes with clients and subcontractors, ensuring positive outcomes.
Maintain customer trust by managing confidential information with discretion.
Attend relevant training sessions and assessments to enhance skills and meet industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in construction project management, cost control, or similar roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management principles, and construction materials.
