Financial Systems Manager

Responsibilities
~1 min read- Serve as primary administrator for NetSuite, including configuration, workflows, roles/permissions, and system governance.
- Own relationships with Finance technology vendors and implementation partners, including prioritization, oversight, testing, and successful delivery.
- Administer and support Zone Billing and related billing processes.
- Manage and maintain middleware integrations (Workato) to ensure accurate, reliable data flow across systems.
- Partner with system owners across departments to ensure data integrity and alignment of key dimensions and reporting measures.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and governance across the finance systems environment.
- Own the integration strategy across systems that impact FinOps, ensuring seamless connectivity between ERP, billing, CPQ, legal repositories (e.g., Ivo), and other operational platforms.
- Lead full lifecycle system implementations and integration projects for FinOps-owned initiatives.
- Ensure upstream and downstream systems properly support billing, reporting, and revenue workflows.
- Monitor data flows to identify and resolve system gaps, integration failures, incomplete transfers, and data-quality issues.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve technical issues.
- Design and implement AI-enabled workflows, agents, and intelligent automation solutions within Finance.
- Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI platforms to solve practical business problems, reduce manual work, and improve process reliability.
- Evaluate finance processes for automation opportunities and prioritize solutions based on business impact.
- Demonstrate measurable results from AI and automation initiatives rather than relying solely on theoretical knowledge or general interest.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, RevOps, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, Engineering, and other stakeholders to redesign Finance business processes, ensuring technology enables scalable, standardized, and well-controlled operations.
- Translate business requirements into practical data, systems, and automation solutions.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control risks across finance workflows.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, operational risk, and the evolving needs of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems, finance operations, or business systems roles.
- Hands-on experience administering ERP platforms, with NetSuite strongly preferred. Advanced configuration and technical development will be supported by external partners.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, system-to-system data flows, and data-quality controls.
- Experience with integration and automation tools (Workato or similar middleware preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience building AI-enabled workflows, agents, or intelligent automation solutions that have been applied to real business processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
~3 min read- Experience with Salesforce, Zone Billing, Dealhub, or similar business systems are preferred.
- Experience working in a SaaS or subscription-based business is helpful.
Location: Strong preference for candidates located in Austin, Texas to work a hybrid (2 days a week) in our downtown headquarters. Please note that we currently do not hire candidates residing in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming
