Alexandria Insights is seeking a Senior Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics Team Lead to support our customer at Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) in Stafford, Virginia. This position serves as the logistics lead for a Future Radar Systems portfolio, providing technical leadership, customer engagement, and life cycle logistics expertise in support of Marine Corps acquisition programs. The successful candidate will lead a small team of acquisition logisticians while serving as the primary logistics interface with Government customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and internal program leadership. This individual must possess a strong understanding of DoD acquisition logistics, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage competing priorities, proactively identify program risks, and consistently deliver high-quality logistics products on schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the Logistics Team Lead supporting a Marine Corps acquisition program through all phases of the Defense Acquisition System.
- Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of acquisition logisticians by assigning workload, monitoring progress, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality, schedule, and customer expectations are consistently met.
- Serve as the primary logistics interface with Assistant Product Managers, Product Managers, Government logisticians, engineers, and Integrated Product Teams.
- Identify program risks, schedule impacts, and resource constraints; communicate issues and recommended courses of action to senior leadership in a timely manner.
- Coordinate logistics priorities across multiple efforts and request additional resources or surge support when required to meet program objectives.
- Develop, review, and maintain acquisition logistics documentation including:
- Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
- Product Support Analyses
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Item Unique Identification (IUID) Plans
- Integrated Logistics Assessments (ILA)
- Manpower, Personnel and Training (MPT) documentation
- Training Packages
- Fielding Plans
- Facilities Impact Assessments/Reports
- Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Plans
- Disposal Plans
- Review and provide logistics input to Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Product Support Strategies, and other acquisition documentation supporting milestone decisions and sustainment reviews.
- Support Product Support Management activities by developing and implementing integrated product support strategies throughout the weapon system life cycle.
- Analyze reliability, maintainability, readiness, maintenance, provisioning, and technical data to identify trends, improve sustainment performance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support Product Support Business Case Analyses (PS BCA), sustainment planning, depot activation initiatives, provisioning activities, and organic maintenance planning as required.
- Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) to ensure Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements are fully addressed.
- Ensure technical publications are technically accurate and effectively managed throughout development, review, approval, and publication.
- Investigate and resolve sustainment, provisioning, maintenance planning, repair strategy, and DMSMS issues affecting weapon system readiness.
- Coordinate effectively with engineering, configuration management, supply support, test, contracting, and maintenance stakeholders to ensure integrated logistics support across the program.
- Travel in support of customer meetings, fielding events, technical reviews, and other program requirements as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 10 years of progressively responsible experience supporting DoD acquisition programs in Life Cycle Logistics, Integrated Product Support (IPS), or Product Support Management.
- Four (4) additional years of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics (Foundational or equivalent). Advanced DAWIA credentials are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience developing acquisition logistics documentation supporting DoD acquisition milestones, sustainment reviews, and program decision events.
- Thorough understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements and Life Cycle Sustainment Planning.
- Experience supporting Product Support Management activities and developing long-term sustainment strategies.
- Experience supporting Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), or other DoD acquisition organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading small teams, coordinating cross-functional efforts, or serving as a technical lead within a DoD acquisition environment.
- Proven ability to independently manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with Government and contractor stakeholders, and proactively resolve program issues.
- Experience supporting Command and Control (C2), Tactical Communications, Radar, Sensor, or Networking programs is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Marine Corps enterprise logistics systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams.
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Product Support Business Case Analyses (PS BCAs), Depot Activation, Organic Sustainment Planning, Provisioning, DMSMS Management, Technical Data Management, and Configuration Management.
- Experience with DoD 5000 Series acquisition policy and Product Support Management.
- Experience supporting weapon systems throughout development, production, fielding, sustainment, and modernization.
- Experience briefing senior Government leadership and presenting logistics analyses to program stakeholders.
- DAU or equivalent professional training in Life Cycle Logistics or Product Support disciplines.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
