Role: SQL and Integration Engineer Location: Hyderabad,Pune ,Chennai,Bangalore,Kolkata, Hybrid Mode Position Exp: 3-8 Yrs Requirements Job Description – SQL and Integration Engineer Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Engineer to support the ingestion and management of Configuration Items (CIs) from in-store systems into a ServiceNow-based aggregator platform. This role requires a strong technical foundation in data integration and SQL, combined with basic understanding of CMDB Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) Configuration Item data from in-store source systems into the ServiceNow aggregator. • Develop and manage ETL mappings to ensure accurate and consistent CI data transfer across systems. • Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting activities. • Collaborate with ServiceNow platform teams to align CI data structures with CMDB schema requirements. • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and integration failures, ensuring high data quality and completeness. • Document integration workflows, data mappings, and technical specifications. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in a data integration, ETL engineering, or similar technical role. • Strong proficiency in SQL – including complex queries, joins, and data validation techniques. • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data mapping • Demonstrated experience with general integration skills – including API-based and file- based data exchange patterns. • Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly CMDB and Discovery modules, is a plus. Good to Have • Experience in data analysis – ability to profile source data, identify anomalies, and support data quality initiatives. • Background in integration strategy and/or architecture development – including designing scalable, enterprise-grade integration patterns. • Exposure to retail or in-store technology environments. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant integration certification is advantageous. Must Have skills SQL - Writing complex queries (joins, subqueries, CTEs), stored procedures, data extraction & transformation, schema understanding, query optimization, working with relational databases ETL - Experience designing and implementing source-to-target data mappings to extract, transform, and load CI data across systems with accuracy and consistency.
