Bartender

• →Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests in a can-do fashion, engaging in polite conversation when time allow.
• →Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
• →Responsible for stocking station and completing pre and post job duties as outlined by management
• →Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
• →Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
• →Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
• →Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
• →Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
• →Up-sell drink orders
• →Maintain complete knowledge of Point-of-Sales (POS) systems
• →Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
• →Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• →Assist with setup and break down of food and beverage items within the restaurant and event spaces
• →All other duties as assigned

• Basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Strong working knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails.
• Willing to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Ability to think clearly, can remain calm, and solve problems using good judgment
• 1+ years of bartending experience preferable in hospitality
• High School or equivalent preferred
• One must be a minimum of 20 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages to hotel guest per KY Liquor Law
