We are seeking an experienced Assistant School Age Teacher/Driver to add to our growing team at our Gold (SUTQ), NAC-accredited childcare and preschool center located in Cleveland, Ohio.

You will be an essential member of a team of qualified teachers who are talented, fun, and genuinely enthusiastic about child development and learning. You must be comfortable working with groups of children ranging from 5 years of age to 12 years of age. Responsibilities

→Driving a 14-passenger school bus.
→Potential Candidate should have previous driving experience and be comfortable with groups of children (5 years of age - 12 years of age).
→Assist in documentation for attendance and transportation services provided.
→Bus inspections, maintaining scheduled bus/van maintenance, and bus cleaning is required daily.

→Assist in delivering learning experiences tailored to the developmental needs of your students.
→Assist with maintaining schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and playtime.
→Conducting daily duties such as serving meals, toileting/changing pull ups, recording daily reports/attendance, covers breaks, fill in during staff absence, engage in play and other daily activities.
→Maintain a healthy and safe environment for all children.
→Attend and participate in Center-provided meetings and trainings to comply with state regulations for child care professionals.

→Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
→Possession of a CDA, AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus, but not required for this position
→At least one year of child care experience working in a licensed ODJFS child care program.
→Experience teaching and working with children between the ages of 5 years and 12 years.
→A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
→Comfortable driving a 14-passenger bus.
→Experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred.
→Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to transporting children.
→Seasonal requirements would include field trips and some supervision support while there.
→Current physical and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.
→Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
→Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
→Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
→Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families.
→Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance.
→Applicants must possess current legal authorization to work in the United States.

→Must be able to work 8:15AM - 5:15PM

Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on child-sized furniture or on the floor for extended periods.
Ability to repetitively lift and move children, with a weight capacity of up to 50lbs.
Comfort working in a moderate to noisy environment.
Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations.
Physical ability to stay within arm's reach of children, ensuring proximity and safety.
Participation in safety drills, adhering to guidelines including relocating children, which may involve moving cribs with multiple children to designated safe areas.
Endurance to withstand varying outdoor conditions and temperatures for prolonged durations throughout all seasons.
