General Responsibilies Define strategic business direction Steer the organisation to achieve excellence in a globalised environment Set organisational business goals for high performance and growth Develop long-term strategic business plans to maintain a leading position in the marketplace Drive organisational development with respect to change, innovation, and knowledge to achieve desired strategic business goals Drive organisational business performance Establish organisational business performance indicators and measurement standards Review organisational business performance against plans to recognise achievements Assess principal risks to the organisation Ensure organic and inorganic profitable revenue growth Promote workplace safety and health Promote workplace safety and health (WSH) across the organisation Nurture an organisational culture that complies with WSH internal and external standards and regulations Ensure that the organisation has appropriate WSH measures established to conduct work activities both lawfully and ethically Stay abreast of international WSH regulations pertaining to the sector Collaborate with WSH department to establish WSH policies and procedures Establish quality management policies and processes Foster an organisational culture of proactive compliance with quality regulations, internal standards, and policies Ensure that the board is informed of quality management related matters Endorse organisational quality management policies Lead people Foster a culture of high performance and innovation amongst employees Formulate organisational systems to develop employees in line with organisation's mission and emerging industry trends Champion succession planning initiative for key management positions Approve strategies in attracting new employees based on business objectives and regulatory standards Grow business and stakeholder relationships Foster an atmosphere of inclusiveness with diverse external stakeholders and the global business community Lead networking and relationship-building with strategic stakeholders Establish effective working relationships with union representatives to ensure synergy between tripartite parties Endorse business expansion proposals and manpower forecasts Assess new business growth opportunities Strive for continuous improvement Set direction for organisational budget planning Challenge new ideas while actively balances risks and opportunities Maintain a culture of innovative thinking and practices Guide market research activities to align research objectives with organisational needs and remain competitive 2. Functions Management in Details Project Management Disseminate and translate organization’s goals and directions to department’s personnel Shortlist and recommends contractors, etc. by conducting biddings and evaluating proposals. Prepare preliminary budget estimates and cash flow projection for feasibility studies, etc. Be responsible for the appointment of Contractors and Consultants. Ensure all projects are kept within schedule and approved budget as well as constructed as per specified quality. Execute the Project Development in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments. Update the management on the progress of the construction works Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met. Conduct periodic meetings to resolve site issues. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure time, cost, quality and safety are all meeting the organization requirement. Provide overall leadership and direction to the Heads of Cost & Contract Management, Design Management, Safety, Sustainability and Property Management ensuring that each function operates effectively, aligns with corporate objectives, and delivers on project and organizational requirements. Cost & Contract Management Ensure that materials and equipment proposed by consultants meet requirements. Review and ensure tender process and advice on tender and contract related matters. Review tender submissions & tender evaluation reports and attend tender interviews Design Management Set the design direction for the development of the projects Ensure that designs submitted by consultants meet requirements. Safety Follow and implement the Environmental Management System (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) and the Environment, Health and Safety Management System of The Company. Sustainability Oversee sustainability initiatives and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) efforts across The Company, ensuring alignment with The Company’s business objectives and long-term growth strategy. Promote a strong culture of sustainability by integrating sustainability principles into the organization's business strategy, policies and practices. Property Management Lead property management to ensure effective operations, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and long-term asset value enhancement. Provide strategic direction on property management policies, service standards, budgeting and stakeholder engagement to support The Company’s business objectives and reputation. Requirements Minimum Bachelor degree in Architecture/ Engineering / Construction Management/ Project Management from a recognized university. At least 15 years of working experience in construction management At least 05 years of experience at the same position. Experience in residential, township, industrial park, retail, office development Speaking, reading and writing English fluently; proficiently in Microsoft office, and/or AutoCAD related software. Having management and leadership skills, be able to work flexible under high pressure, creative minded and be able to solve problems independently with good results. Possess good knowledge in project planning and construction of buildings preferably in high-rise development. Highly organized and detail-orientated.
