Senior Data Scientist

ACG_3366_JOB Our client is a leading financial services corporation, who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm. 1. Advanced Analytics & Model Development Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and deep learning models to address business challenges and enhance product performance. Evaluate model effectiveness and continuously monitor business KPIs to measure impact. Develop sophisticated algorithms, including recommendation systems and customized predictive models, using modern ML/DL frameworks and big data technologies. Promote and implement machine learning applications across multiple business journeys and cross-functional squads. Manage end-to-end complex data science initiatives using Agile methodologies while ensuring compliance with internal governance and regulatory standards. 2. Data Insights & Analytical Leadership Lead the extraction and interpretation of meaningful, actionable insights from large-scale datasets and metadata in collaboration with business stakeholders. Oversee the design and enhancement of monitoring frameworks to evaluate model accuracy, prediction quality, and overall performance. Facilitate data-driven discussions across multiple squads to identify analytical opportunities and define problem statements. Partner with Data Engineering teams to implement complex algorithms within analytical platforms and production systems. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of underlying datasets (e.g., size, distributions, outliers, conversion rates) and apply validation techniques and sanity checks to detect discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes. 3. Project Ownership & Delivery Management Assume full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and performance KPIs. Coordinate with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain focus, manage scope, and prioritize high-impact deliverables. Address project risks, conflicts, and evolving business requirements to maintain operational efficiency. Conduct post-implementation reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and delivery quality. 4. Talent Development & Team Leadership Lead and develop assigned data science team members, focusing on retention, performance management, and professional growth. Mentor junior team members and support their progression into fully independent data scientists. Identify skill gaps and create development opportunities to strengthen team capability and effectiveness. Requirements Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other numerically intensive disciplines. Minimum 10 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning model development on large-scale datasets. Proven track record in implementing and deploying statistical and predictive models in production environments. Experience applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques within financial services or financial market contexts. Demonstrated management experience, including leading projects, mentoring data scientists, and driving team performance. Advanced proficiency in database querying and programming languages such as Python, R, Spark, Scala, SQL, Java, C, or C++. Strong expertise in data mining, statistical modeling, and the development of analytics-driven products and solutions. Extensive experience working within Agile software development environments, with deep understanding of Agile principles, practices, and Scrum methodologies. Strong strategic thinking and decision-making ability. Comfortable engaging with senior leadership, translating complex technical concepts into business insights and vice versa. Ability to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and drive cross-functional alignment. English proficiency in accordance with internal organizational standards.
