Underwriting and Reinsurance Manager (Accident and Health)

ACG_1708_JOB Our client is a leading insurance company, who is looking for a talent to join their firm: Managing UWRI processes for Accident and Health Insurance (A&H). Offering underwriting technical guidance to the Marketing (MKT) and Claims (CLM) departments for informed client recommendations. Underwriting, facilitating reinsurance arrangements, and devising sound UWRI schemes/programs. Conducting underwriting audits. Analyzing portfolios and conducting requested analyses on insurance products for the Head of Department (HOD). Maintaining and updating underwriting guides and related forms for Insurance Products. Generating UWRI reports for the HOD, Board of Directors (BOD), and Tokio Marine Asia. Ensuring the accuracy and timely updates of the UWRI database and reports. Managing product development, reports, and analysis. Developing new products or enhancing existing ones in alignment with company requirements and marketing strategy. Reviewing premiums, policy wordings, terms, and conditions of existing products for continuous improvement. Collaborating with actuaries on pricing A&H products. Registering products with the Ministry of Finance as required. Maintaining accurate and updated UWRI database and reports. Overseeing product profitability and implementing countermeasures when necessary. Handling other tasks assigned by HOD. Formulating and overseeing UWRI strategies and objectives. Managing team members, including recruitment, training/coaching, work allocation, delegation, performance management, and fostering team spirit. Requirements Minimum of three years of managerial experience within the Non-life insurance sector. Proficiency in English and adeptness in MS Office. Possess leadership and team management skills, effective communication and negotiation abilities, and analytical and logical thinking capabilities.
