ALS Therapy Development Institute is hiring Tri-State Trek Production Assistants to support our annual bike ride fundraiser to end ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). This unique opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on a large‑scale event in the ALS community. Candidates with experience or interest in event planning, catering, and/or athletic events are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities

  • Organize and clean all equipment and supplies
  • Audit inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Pick up donated products and rental vehicles
  • In-office preparations: assembling rider packets, rolling t‑shirts, shipping packages, etc.
  • Drive the entire route and put up arrow markers with a team of production assistants
  • Clean and neatly put away all equipment post‑event
  • Set up and break down tents, tables, banners, signs, etc.
  • Carry and move water, ice, food & beverages, and other supplies or equipment
  • Drive the route and check that arrows are correct before riders are on the course
  • Execute any other duties assigned

(Hours may vary. Generally 10am–4pm except for the event weekend, when hours will be longer.)

  • June 8–12: Warehouse organizing/inventory
  • June 15–18: Warehouse, off‑site duties, and an overnight trip driving the route and placing arrow markers
    • Required overnight trip; hotel, rental vehicles, and gas included
  • June 19: Day off for the holiday (subject to change)
  • June 22–25: Picking up orders, rental vehicles, and packing vans
  • June 26–29: Plan, prep, set up, and break down the event – duties may vary as needed
      • Includes one working weekend; overnight accommodations & meals included*
  • June 30: Warehouse equipment return

Requirements

  • Highly collaborative, flexible team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Understanding of the high level of performance required to make a large‑scale event successful
  • Resourceful problem solver able to work under high‑pressure situations
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
  • Valid United States driver's license
  • Availability to work/travel every day in June (weekdays and weekends)

$2,200 for the entirety of the position, paid in full once the position is complete.
