GENERAL SUMMARY

The Coordinator for HRIS Systems and Benefits will assist the HR Team with the application of employee data in the HRIS system. This individual will focus on processes for all business locations. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for communication to new hires directed from the HR Team. The coordinator will assist in approving employee benefit enrollment, data entry, and administration as needed. This role will also provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Other support may be given to uphold the organizations standards for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Supports recruitment and talent acquisition with resume screening and scheduling interviews as needed
  • Launches & monitors drug screen and background checks 
  • Launches onboarding and assists in trouble shooting any HRIS issues 
  • Backup to pulling reporting and data entry within the HRIS System
  • Assists with onboarding functions including i9 and badging. 
  • Assists the HR Generalist with HR Events Calendar
  • Assists with planning and preparation for employee events
  • Schedules meetings, makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work 8-10 hours/week maximum
  • Associates degree in human resources required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of current experience in Human Resources role in manufacturing or professional organization or corporate environment
  • UKG Experience strongly preferred. Will consider candidates without degree if they have equivalent work experience and demonstrable UKG experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to handle extremely confidential information; displays a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Teamwork minded, with good interpersonal skills
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
  • Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
  • Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
  • Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
  • Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
  • Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
  • Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
