We are also the first digital bank on the cloud. As the first profitable digital bank, we managed to get listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange.

How did it all start?

Founded on March 15, 1991, in Surabaya as PT Anglomas International Bank (Amin Bank), the bank was acquired by Tolaram Group and transformed to PT Bank Amar Indonesia (Amar Bank) in 2014. It has then undergone a significant digital transformation to become one of the country's forerunning fintech institutions through its award-winning digital lending platform, Tunaiku.

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced corporate legal professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to our company on a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, banking law, financing, employment law, intellectual property, handling disputes, and regulatory compliance.

Review and analyze relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and business rules related to company operations.

Provide legal support and advisory services, including contract drafting, contract review, legal analysis, negotiation with counterparties, and product-related legal assessment.

Prepare and maintain corporate legal documents, filings, licenses, and reports in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Monitor and interpret new laws and regulations and assess their impact on business operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in reviewing company products, features, and business activities.

Provide day-to-day legal support to internal stakeholders across functions and business units.

Conduct independent legal research on various legal and regulatory matters relevant to the company’s business.

Manage communication and coordination with external parties, including regulators, external counsels, and business partners when necessary.

Handle and maintain corporate secretarial matters and related documentation.

Identify legal risks and provide practical legal solutions to support business objectives.

Support compliance initiatives and ensure company practices align with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a reputable university.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in corporate legal functions; experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or technology industries is preferred.

Strong understanding of Indonesian laws and regulations, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles.

Experienced in legal drafting, contract review, legal documentation, licensing, and regulatory analysis.

Advocate license / PERADI membership is an advantage.

Certification in corporate legal, compliance, or risk management is a plus.

Strong analytical thinking, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Capable of handling multiple priorities and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken

Master degree in Law from a reputable university

Have a PERADI License
