The Opportunity
The SOC Analyst monitors, detects, and responds to security events. This position protects systems from cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will assist the ISO in maintaining the security structure, be detailed-oriented, and self-motivated to root cause problems. This is a growing organization, so adaptability and being willing to learn and grow is key to success.
Count On To:
- Monitor the bank’s cybersecurity incident response and security operations
- Identify cybersecurity risks through the evaluation of common and technical controls, effective risk identification, reporting and escalation
- Fine-tune secure infrastructure practices, standards, guidelines, and solutions towards adopting technical best practices
- Review vulnerability scan and penetration testing reports and implement recommendations to mitigate the risks
- Administrate and maintain MFA and other identity management systems
- Monitor SIEM daily alerts and reports
- Analyze phishing emails
- Assist in physical security reporting and tasks as needed
- Assist in onboarding new employees
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to problem-solve complex situations
- Technical and organized attitude
- In-depth knowledge of computer and network systems
- Ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms
