This is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Raleigh NC office.

As part of a self-directed work team, facilitates efficient functioning of the Performance Events Department in the processing of
all event applications and event results for performance events. Involves detailed analysis of information supplied by customers
and the appropriate application of all rules, regulations, procedures, and Board policies related to event plans, judging panels,
clubs, dog records, and both dog and event eligibility. Provides knowledgeable and proactive support for customers. This
position handles all phases connected to the application and results processing for AKC Performance events. May perform
other departmental duties as assigned.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Performance Events Operations Representative the following duties will apply for a Senior
Representative.

• Occasionally will assist with testing of new programming.
• Will help train new hires by explaining the processes and procedures that are done daily in the department.
• Must be well versed in rules and regulations in order to keep up with questions from customers and other staff members.
• Will provide upper management with situations that have arisen and provide solutions.
• Back up to management for reviewing statistical data as assigned.
• Senior representatives will handle escalated calls before they get to management.
• Will review daily processing reports to identify events that are in need of attention.
• Identify potential improvements to processes and procedures and work with management to implement changes to enhance
customer service.

COMPUTER/EQUIPMENT SKILLS - Uses multiple computer programs and software including but not limited to - CMS,
OCMS, OLP, OnBase, Console, REGIS, DOUGH, EOE. Competence in Microsoft Office required. Must use internally created
software applications and commercial software to handle a variety of tasks including event processing; processing of
payments by cash, check, or credit card; scanning and indexing documentation; reviewing registration forms and details of
processing; reading, responding to, and storing email; researching information from the world wide web; and handling inquiries
related to the AKC Online Entry system. Must be computer literate with an understanding and a working familiarity with word
processing and spreadsheets. Must possess good data processing skills of 9000 strokes per hour with high accuracy rate (lower
wpm will be considered if accuracy is extremely high).
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS - Must be able to analyze situations, utilize knowledge, and appropriately apply
AKC methods in the handling of events, dogs, and customers.
AKC-SPECIFIC/PUREBRED DOG KNOWLEDGE - In depth familiarity with AKC rules, regulations, policies, and protocols.
