Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prospect Research Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research and analysis on potential donors and prospects for our clients. You will play a critical role in helping our clients identify and cultivate new sources of funding to support their important work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough research on potential donors and prospects using a variety of online and offline resources

- Analyze and evaluate data to identify potential major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners

- Collaborate with our team to develop targeted fundraising strategies based on research findings

- Prepare detailed research reports and profiles for clients, highlighting key information and potential opportunities for engagement

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in prospect research and fundraising

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our donor database

- Assist with other fundraising and development tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. nonprofit management, fundraising, business)

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in prospect research, preferably in a nonprofit setting

- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and interpret key information

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in using online research tools and databases

- Familiarity with fundraising strategies and techniques

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of the job
