~1 min readOur client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst at their offices in midtown New York City, 10019. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual base salary of $115K to $130K plus a performance-based bonus and excellent benefits plan.
Under the supervision of the Director of Research & Competitive Intelligence, the Analyst will join a high-performance team responsible for delivering rigorous, high-impact research and analysis on companies, industries, markets and competitors. The Analyst role requires a strong degree of attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and creativity in leveraging a broad range of resources, including artificial intelligence, to develop insightful, actionable intelligence and meaningful recommendations that support the firm’s competitive position. Successful candidates will take ownership of their work, proactively identify opportunities to add value, and operate with a strong sense of accountability. The Analyst must be effective working both collaboratively within a team environment and independently in a results-driven setting.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies, competitors, industries and legal trends, with a particular focus on corporate, litigation and restructuring practices, to support the firm’s business development, strategic, and client-facing initiatives.
- →Monitor and synthesize critical news, market activity, trends, and intelligence affecting the firm, key clients and industries, proactively identifying developments relevant to business development priorities.
- →Produce consistently high-quality, well-structured, and analytically rigorous reports and deliverables that meet exacting standards for accuracy, clarity and professional presentation.
- →Track and maintain metrics for team request management.
- →Perform special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Highly tuned research and analysis skills, with ability to analyze data and draw conclusions and to provide actionable intelligence. Strong understanding of the legal industry and the business environment impacting our clients, is highly recommended.
- Exceptional and professional written, oral communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and distill information from diverse sources and deliver objective, meaningful insights in concise, compelling ways.
- Solid ability working with financial/business, legal/litigation and industry-specific databases (including Bloomberg, CapitalIQ and LSEG Workspace) and Microsoft products, especially Excel.
- Experience with using artificial intelligence for CI work, including the prompt and context engineering, would be an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of M&A and private equity transactions and the ability to differentiate between multiple deal types and strategies.
- Ability to work well with staff at all levels of the firm, as well as handle an array of projects, many under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
- Takes a proactive approach to assignments and demonstrates the ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, with a flexibility and willingness to work extended hours as required.
- Strong sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity and professional dedication, as well as a positive attitude, are expected.
