Sr. Accountant (Remote-Centric Hybrid)

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising and reviewing work provided by a team of staff accountants.  Duties may include oversight full cycle accounting functions and activity, monthly financial reporting, cash management, bank reconciliations, budget analysis, and work paper presentation of a group of ambulatory surgical centers (ASC).  In addition to these duties, this position may also provide opportunities for involvement in process improvements, financial analysis, and special projects. 

• →Primary resource for internal colleagues regarding operations and/or financial issues.
• →Review all work provided by a team of staff accountants.
• →Train and mentor staff accountants with regards to technical issues and accounting responsibilities.
• →Monthly income statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of ASC financial reports.
• →Provide research and assistance with ASC work papers and reconciliations.
• →Monitor ASC compliance with accounting controls and policies.
• →Provide accounting and general ledger work for specified surgery centers as needed.
• →Perform miscellaneous financial analysis.
• →Special projects and other job related duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

•  At least 3 years of accounting industry experience.  Pervious supervisor and/or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

• Ability to use window office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Accounting software; PC laptop.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university

• Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. 

• Must be able to work well with others. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 

• Must be detail oriented and organized. 

• High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. 

• Must be able to exercise good judgment. 

• Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.
