Lead delivery of high-impact product UI in Anaplan’s modern frontend platform. You will own complex features end-to-end—from technical design and implementation through testing, security remediation, observability, and production releases. You mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and influence patterns across React/TypeScript, monorepo architecture, design systems, and microfrontend boundaries.
What you’ll do
- Architect and shipReact + TypeScriptfeatures with strongcomponent design,hooks, andperformancetuning (render paths, memoization, code splitting, lazy loading).
- Drivedesign-system-firstdevelopment usingADSandMaterial UI; extend shared components without fragmenting UX.
- Own state and routing patterns:Reduxat scale, pragmatic adoption ofZustand,React Router v5navigation and deep-linking concerns.
- Design and implementcomplex product UI: high-densitygrids,dashboards,widgets,drag-and-drop, andchartswith resilient loading/error/empty states.
- Define integration contracts forRESTandGraphQL; partner onBFFdesign, pagination, caching, and client-side mapping layers.
- Advancemonorepopractices (pnpm,Nx): shared libraries, versioning, build graph optimization, and cross-package API stability.
- Establish testing strategy:Vitest+RTLfor fast feedback;Cucumber+PlaywrightBDD E2E for critical journeys.
- Championi18nanda11y(WCAG-oriented patterns, keyboard flows, screen reader behavior, RTL/locale edge cases).
- Guidemicrofrontendandmodule federationboundaries (shared deps, runtime composition, isolation, failure modes).
- OwnVite/Webpackbuild configuration tradeoffs, bundle analysis, and platform tooling (Docker/Tilt, feature flags, internal API clients).
- Leadproduction support: debug withGrafana,Splunk, distributed traces/logs; write actionable incident notes and preventative fixes.
- Ownrelease to production: release trains, rollback judgment, coordination with SRE/platform,Harness/Argo CDpipelines.
- ResolveSnyk,SAST, and dependency vulnerabilities; embed secure SDLC practices in team workflows.
- Mentor junior/mid engineers via reviews, pairing, and technical RFCs; represent frontend in cross-team design reviews.
- Optionally lead or spikeReact Nativeinitiatives (native tooling, debugging, shared logic extraction).
Core web (expert-level application)
- DeepHTML/CSSskills applied through design systems, not ad-hoc styling.
- AdvancedTypeScript(generics, discriminated unions, utility types, strict typing for API models).
- Web Componentsliteracy (custom elements, shadow DOM, interoperability with React hosts where applicable).
- 5+ years building large, long-lived frontend products; 3+ years leading features inReact.
- Provenperformanceoptimization in data-heavy UIs (virtualization, debouncing, selector patterns, profiling).
- Strongcomponent API design: composability, accessibility props, testability, and extension points.
- Production experience withmonorepos(pnpm,Nx), shared packages, and internal design libraries.
- Viteand/orWebpackexpertise; familiarity withmodule federationandmicrofrontendoperational concerns.
- GraphQLclient patterns (caching, error policies, colocated queries) plus robustRESTclient abstractions.
- BFFcollaboration: shaping payloads for UI needs, auth/session handling at the edge of frontend concerns.
- Testing leadership:RTL+Vitest, meaningful coverage of behavior (not implementation detail); E2E strategy withPlaywright/Cucumber.
- Hands-onvulnerability remediation(Snyk, npm audits,SASTtriage) and secure dependency management.
- Production debugging andobservability(Grafana,Splunk); SLO-aware mindset for customer-impacting defects.
- CI/CD and release ownership (GitHub Actionsor equivalent,Harness,Argo CD).
- Track record mentoring engineers and raising code quality through reviews and standards.
- Strong stakeholder communication (Jira, RFCs, estimations, risk callouts).
- Experience taking features through full lifecycle including production rollout and post-release monitoring.
- React Native+ native build/debug (Xcode/Android tooling) for shared mobile roadmap/ Next js
- Storybook+ visual regression strategy for ADS consumers.
- Feature flag frameworks and experimentation patterns.
- Prior enterprise SaaS: multi-tenant UX, permissions, auditability, enterprise admin surfaces.
- Experience withdrag-and-dropframeworks, canvas/SVG charting, and accessibility in non-standard widgets.
- Platform engineering overlap: containerized dev envs, service mesh basics, API gateway familiarity (conceptual).
- Shippable, accessible, internationalized features with predictable performance in complex UIs.
- Reduced regressions through disciplined testing and observability-backed fixes.
- Cleaner monorepo boundaries and reusable patterns adopted by other squads.
- Improved security posture (fewer recurring Snyk/SAST issues, faster remediation).
- Reliable releases with measurable post-deploy stability.
