Anchor Sandblasting & Coatings is seeking an experienced, safety-driven Scaffolding Foreman to lead scaffold crews on industrial, commercial, and marine projects. The Scaffolding Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and inspecting all scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project specifications. This role serves as the primary field leader for scaffold operations, promoting a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Supervise, direct, and mentor scaffold crews during the erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
- →Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- →Read and interpret scaffold drawings, blueprints, engineering specifications, and project work plans.
- →Ensure all scaffolding is erected and maintained in accordance with OSHA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company safety standards.
- →Conduct scaffold inspections before initial use and throughout the duration of the project.
- →Verify that scaffold tags and inspection records are completed and maintained accurately.
- →Coordinate scaffold activities with project managers, superintendents, sandblasting and coating crews, and other trades to support project schedules.
- →Lead daily safety meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and toolbox talks.
- →Monitor crew compliance with PPE requirements, fall protection, and safe work practices.
- →Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining quality and production goals.
- →Track labor hours, equipment usage, and material inventory.
- →Inspect scaffold components and remove damaged or defective materials from service.
- →Train new employees on scaffold safety, company procedures, and proper erection techniques.
- →Maintain accurate daily reports and communicate project progress to management.
- →Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Five or more years of industrial scaffolding experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing scaffold crews on industrial or marine projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA scaffold regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to read scaffold drawings and engineering plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively lead teams in fast-paced industrial environments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely at elevated heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including a full-body harness and respirator when required.

This position operates primarily in industrial facilities, shipyards, power plants, refineries, bridges, manufacturing plants, and marine environments. The role may require overtime, weekend work, travel, and extended shifts to meet project schedules.
