As a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV – Carpenter, you will play a critical role in ensuring our environments remain safe, functional, and supportive for the individuals we serve. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled carpentry work to maintain and repair agency facilities in accordance with established standards and codes.

Pay Range: $27.44 - $32.44 Hourly; Based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

✓Perform skilled carpentry and general maintenance tasks in a professional and efficient manner

✓Maintain clean, safe work areas and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and safety standards

✓Complete work orders from start to finish, including documentation and daily activity logs

✓Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope

✓Measure, cut, shape, and install materials to complete repairs and construction projects

✓Construct, repair, and install structural components, fixtures, flooring, drywall, cabinetry, and furniture

✓Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools according to manufacturer guidelines

✓Troubleshoot issues, apply effective solutions, and communicate challenges to supervisor as needed

✓Maintain professionalism, adhere to uniform standards, and work collaboratively with staff

✓Complete required trainings and follow departmental procedures

✓Participate in on-call rotation, emergency response, and snow removal as needed

✓High School Diploma or equivalent

✓Sufficient carpentry experience and technical knowledge to perform responsibilities independently

✓Ability to read and interpret construction documents and perform accurate measurements

✓Working knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials

✓Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

✓Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
