About the Role

Aoka is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
  • Review contracts, timesheets, and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end close adjustments.
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and invoice disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Support external audits and provide required documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve accounting issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in invoicing and general ledger accounting required.
