The Vice President of Product & Technology is a strategic leadership role responsible for owning the end-to-end product and technology strategy for their designated domain. This includes defining the multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, and managing the delivery performance across all product lines. The VP serves as a key partner to business and academic executives, oversees portfolio planning and governance, and acts as the executive sponsor for major technology initiatives.

- →Develop and communicate a compelling multi-year product and technology vision and strategy for the domain.
- →Translate the institutional goals and KPIs into a clear, actionable domain roadmap that balances short-term deliverables with long-term strategic objectives.
- →Continuously monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to inform the roadmap and drive innovation.
- →Partner with Executive Leadership:
- →Collaborate with business and academic executives to ensure product priorities and outcomes are tightly aligned with institutional strategies.
- →Effectively communicate the domain's product vision and roadmap to build support and alignment across the organization.
- →Oversee Domain Portfolio Planning and Governance:
- →Lead the domain's portfolio governance activities, which includes prioritizing investments, managing resource allocation, owning vendor relationships and contracts, and monitoring performance across all initiatives.
- →Coordinate with other domains to manage cross-domain dependencies and ensure a cohesive institutional portfolio.
- →Establish and manage key metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress and measure the value delivered by the domain's portfolio.
- Define and enforce standards for architecture, compliance, security, and delivery methodology to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
- Advocate for best practices in product management, Agile/Lean methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage Domain Budgets and Resources:
- Plan, forecast, and manage the domain's budgets and expenditures.
- Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to optimize spending and resource utilization.
- Serve as Executive Sponsor:
- Act as the executive sponsor for major technology initiatives within the domain, providing leadership, guidance, and removing roadblocks to accelerate delivery.

- →Conduct regular delivery and portfolio reviews with Product Development Managers to monitor project health and ensure alignment with the roadmap.
- →Provide guidance and mentorship to product development teams.
- →Approve and Track Performance:
- →Approve project milestones, budgets, and dependencies, and track their progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- →Define product success metrics and use data to make informed decisions and optimize products.
- →Ensure Consistent Methodology:
- →Promote the consistent use of Agile/Lean frameworks, metrics, and reporting standards across all product development teams.
- Provide senior-level support for risk management and issue escalation on large or cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in product management, technology leadership, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience overseeing large-scale technology transformations and managing product portfolios.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and mobilizing large organizations around strategic initiatives within a complex, global company.
- Extensive experience working with Agile development teams, architects, and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with business objectives.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams, and influence cross-functional groups.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and financial principles to drive product profitability.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization and with external vendors.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to the domain.
